Rachel Cook, MA, MLP

The relationship between the client and therapist is the foundation for any level of therapeutic healing. Creating a safe, comfortable, and honest environment for the client is of utmost importance to me. In this way, I strive to be non-judgmental and empathetic with my clients. I work with a wide range of clients including college students and adults who are dealing with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polar, OCD, and PTSD.

In therapy, I tailor sessions to meet the needs of the client, often drawing upon approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and talk-therapy to foster an open, reflective, and healing environment wherein my clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable and accept the challenge to move toward the change they desire. I use a lot of techniques to make you think deeply and work heavily on motivation, identity and purpose seeking.

I earned my MA in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota, and my MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Alabama.

I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan. As a MLP, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP.
