Karen Ramirez, MA, LLMSW

Pronouns: she/her/hers

My clinical experience includes outpatient therapy, community mental health, child welfare case management, and foster parent licensing. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University.

As a first-generation Mexican American and bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, I am deeply committed to increasing access to culturally responsive mental health care. I am especially passionate about working with the Latinx community, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and children, adolescents, and adults navigating life transitions, identity development, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

I practice from an affirming, inclusive, and collaborative perspective, meeting each person where they are while empowering them to grow into the life they want to live. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe and genuinely supported, and I balance compassion with gentle challenge to help clients improve their lives.

I see clients at our office in Wyoming, MI. To schedule a therapy appointment with me, please call the main office at 269-459-1818.
