Since adolescence, I have been passionate about the study and advancement of human sexuality and the sexually diverse. I am a queer-identifying therapist specifically trained to work with the LGBTQIA+ population including polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, and members of the kink community. I am certified in Sex Therapy and Sex Education with the University of Michigan, which allows me to provide sex therapy services to individuals and couples. If you have concerns related to sexual health or performance, want to improve and build your relationship, or want to expand affirming care for your sexual identity, I may be a good fit for you.
I also have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, family issues, and emerging adulthood. I use a client-centered treatment framework focusing on trauma-informed, humanistic and strengths-based techniques. I am thoroughly trained in CBT and DBT-informed techniques and am open to a variety of schools of thought to best serve you as the client. I currently work with adolescents and adults age 16 and up via telehealth.
I have worked in mental since 2019. My focus in treatment is working to build strength and resilience in clients by working collaboratively to build a therapeutic alliance that encourages trust. I work to be multiculturally-competent and knowledgeable about how intersections of identity affect each client uniquely. I completed my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University in 2019, where my training emphasized diverse counseling techniques, a developmental focus, and a social justice framework.
I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan, which allows me to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. As an MLP, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP.
