I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when they feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I take a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel safe to explore life’s challenges, build on their strengths, and work toward lasting change. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals.
Prior to beginning my career in counseling psychology, I spent nearly many years as an educator in the public school system, working closely with children, adolescents, families, and educators. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the social, emotional, academic, and cultural factors that influence well-being across the lifespan. I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, relationship concerns, stress, grief, and challenges related to identity and adjustment. I also have an interest in psychological assessment and enjoy integrating assessment findings into treatment planning to better support clients’ growth.
I am currently completing both my Master’s degree and doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. As part of my training, I am completing my clinical internship at Meredith Psychological & Testing Services under the direct supervision of Dr. Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers clients to better understand themselves, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
