Kayley Lafontaine, MA, MLP

I have been working in the field with my master’s degree since 2015. I work to facilitate a space where clients can be their authentic and vulnerable selves. I place the therapeutic relationship first, and as rapport is built, I work with clients to process attachment wounds, emotional dysregulation, and relational patterns.

I earned my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University. My training and education emphasized developmental, relational, emotional, and cultural aspects. I use an interpersonal and psychodynamic approach which emphasizes creating new relational patterns while gaining self-awareness of how the past can influence the present. I also have training in trauma, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, play therapy, and Emotion Focused Couples therapy. My private practice work includes individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children.

I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan. As an MLP, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP.
