I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents who are navigating emotional, behavioral, academic, and life challenges. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, sleep difficulties, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, attention difficulties, emotion regulation challenges, and adjusting to major life events. I also help parents develop effective strategies to manage their child’s challenging behaviors, improve communication, and strengthen parent-child relationships.
My clinical experience includes working in schools, juvenile justice and drug court programs, inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. Through these experiences, I have supported youth facing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, as well as concerns related to substance use and involvement with the justice system. I have also worked with young adults navigating the transition to adulthood and with parents and caregivers seeking to support their child’s emotional and behavioral development.
I use evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches help individuals better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, develop effective coping skills, manage difficult emotions, and take meaningful steps toward their values. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each person’s unique strengths and needs. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I am committed to helping you feel understood, build on your strengths, and move toward a meaningful and fulfilling life.
I earned a Master’s degree and am currently a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Western Michigan University. I am a Master’s Limited Licensed Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan and provide psychotherapy and psychological assessment services under the supervision of Dr. Julie M. Davis, Ph.D., LP and Dr. Darrielle Allen, Ph.D.
