My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where you have the floor to explore what matters to you with open and gentle curiosity. I value providing therapy that is client centered, holistic, empathetic, and recognizes each individual as the expert on their lived experience. Therapy with me typically looks like attending to one’s identity, how their past and current lived experiences impact their life, and how their emotional and physical sensations manifest in sessions through a “here and now” approach. Additionally, I believe it is imperative to acknowledge the impact of systemic oppression and marginalization, in an effort to validate responses to traumatic environments and to provide affirming care. Together, we will continue to build upon your strengths and coping skills, as well as deepen both your understanding of yourself and how you relate to others. These strategies are used with the intention of fostering growth, healing, and uncovering your potential.
My strategies align with relational cultural therapy (RCT), mindfulness techniques, and strengths-based interventions. I value approaching each intervention and step of therapy collaboratively so that your unique needs and goals are prioritized. My previous clinical experience included working with adults, families, children, and adolescents with autism, anxiety, depression, and identity development concerns. I am also passionate about working with individuals who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community, are neurodiverse, and gender diverse.
I do not use AI in any step of our intervention or documentation processes. I am currently a master’s level student at Western Michigan University. As a master’s level student, I am under the direct supervision of Dr. Julie Meredith Davis, a fully licensed psychologist. To schedule an appointment, please call the main office at 269-459-1818.
